She is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology, ESIC Medical College, PGIMSR & Hospital, K K Nagar, and Chennai-600078.
Academic qualification:
She has earned her MD (Microbiology) degree from SRTR Medical College, Ambajogai (MH) in 2003-2005.
Research area of interest:
Her Research areas of interest are Drug resistance& its mechanisms, Health care associated infections & control and Medical education.

- Immunodiagnostics (with special reference to Tropical diseases).

She is Life Member - Indian association of Medical Microbiologist (IAMM), Life Member - Hospital Infection Society-India (NISI) and Life Member - Indian Medical Association (IMA).
Professional experience and Achievements:
- A passionate teacher and dedicated clinical microbiologist, she has 11 years of experience in academic and clinical microbiology field.
- She has worked as research guide for three short term student research projects funded by ICMR.
- She has worked as consultant microbiologist in Wockhardt Hospital, Nasik and was part of NABH team.
- She also worked in SRL diagnostics, Nasik and was part of NABL team.
- She has worked as reviewer and assistant editor for many journals and currently working in capacity of National Editorial Board Member for the journal titled "International Journal of Education and Research in Health Sciences". She has worked as Post graduate & under graduate examiner for various examinations conducted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik (MH) and other universities. She has conducted various Inspections as Inspector of various paramedical faculties as per directions of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nasik (MH). She has worked as Member, Student Welfare Board, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nasik (MH).
- She has been guest speaker for various CMEs and workshops.
