Dr. Vinod Chandrashekaran Nair M.S(Ortho),D.N.B(Ortho) currently working as Assistant Professor, Orthopedics at DY Patil medical College, Pimpri Pune.

From 2005 to 2008 he was as Resident in Orthopaedics, for M.S-Ortho registered under Mumbai University where he involved in Independent Surgical management of Basic trauma cases like Fixation of fracture of long bones (Nailing and Plating) was carried out independently under supervision. Training in wound management and wound cover like skin-grafting, tendon repair, basic Spine surgeries like Disc decompression and traumatic spine fixation were independently carried out.

He started his carrier after MS in Pediatric-Orthopaedics, as Registrar in Department of Pediatric-Orthopaedics, at B.J Wadia Hospital for Children's, Parel , Mumbai, Registrar in Department of Orthopaedics at Nair hospital and T.N Medical College, Mumbai-Central, Mumbai(Feb-2009 to Jul-2009), Later in 2009 he had 6 months Fellowship in Arthroplasty by Johnson and Johnson (DEPUY), at Hinduja hospital, Mahim, Mumbai and Assistant Professor Department of Orthopaedics, Shree Krishna Hospital, Karamsad, Anand, Gujarat, India

Dr. Vinod Nair is certified in Orthopaedic Training course at Pune by Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation of India (Oct-2007), A O Trauma Principles Course (AO- BASICS) at Pune (May-2010), Post Graduation Ortho Course at Swasthiyog Miraj (Aug-2007), Orthopaedic Training Course at Indore, by Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation of India (Jan-2008),Masters Course in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty by Indo-German    Orthopaedic foundation (Sep-2008),Course on Evidence Based Medicine and Medical Research, by Bone and Joint decade India (Dec-2008),The Ilizarov Course, by Bombay Orthopaedic Society(Oct-Nov 2009) and The Publication and Statistical Analysis Course by, Bombay Orthopaedic Society (Nov-2009).

His areas of interest are Arthroplasty and Arthroscopy.
