Did M.B.B.S. in 1988 from G.V.S.M. medical college, Kanpur. Passed M.S. in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in 1992 from G.V.S.M. medical college, Kanpur followed by senior residency at New Delhi. Worked as a faculty member in the Department of Obs & Gynae at Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun for 10 years. At present, working as Professor and head in the Department of Obs & Gynae at SGRR Institute of medical and health sciences since last 9 years. A life member of FOGSI, life member of NAVSII and is the Founder secretary of Uttarakhand Chapter of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists and International society of Gynae plastic surgeons. Having over 50 publications in various national and international journals and a number of paper presentations to her credit. Got the best poster award in the community obstetrics category at 46th AICOG held at Banglore in 2003, in the maternal mortality category at 49th AICOG held at Kochi in 2006 and in the abnormal bleeding category at AICOG held at Delhi in 2008. Got the Yuva Fogsi Oration award of north zone in AICOG- 2004 at Agra in 2004.Got the best poster award for poster presentation at International conference of Gynae plastic surgery in Nov 2007. Got the women achiever’s award from Uttaranchal mahila association in 2010. Got the best paper award for oral presentation at National conference of Gynae endoscopy surgery in August 2014. Has received recognition in 2015 from the health minister and honorable chief minister of Uttarakhand for excellent contribution to health services in this region. Has always been closely associated with community health services, health camps and health projects. Special fields of interest are high risk pregnancy, infertility, urogynaecology, laparoscopic surgery and gynaecological oncology.
