Dr.Shaon Kumar Das, Scientist (Agricultural Chemistry) presently is working at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Sikkim Centre, Tadong, Gangtok110012, Sikkim under Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India. He has been awarded Gold Medal for his outstanding contribution in M.Sc. from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. He was awarded DST-INSPIRE fellowship from the Dept. of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.
He has done several researches on pesticide residue chemistry and fate of toxic pesticide in environment. He is also doing his research on Carbon sequestration through soil water management practices along with nutrient use efficiency. He has published more than 40 research paper in different National and International journals.
