Dr Sepasgozar research capability has been demonstrated by conducting an empirical study to investigate the extremely complex issues related to the practices of technology adoption and implementation in construction, and to develop a uniform framework for understanding the related processes. His recent papers clearly indicate his capability in mixed research methods (i.e. qualitative and quantitative) and in interdisciplinary areas of building construction, technology (e.g. equipment, BIM and laser scanners) and management (at organisation and project levels). Other themes in which he has an interest are related to creating needs and applications for new technologies (e.g., Geo-ICT, Laser Scanners, BIM Samad has worked as a lecturer for over ten years and served at his previous university as a program coordinator for Architectural studies. From 2011, he was involved in teaching at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, UNSW Australia in different courses, and was one of the pioneers in using new web-based technologies in education such as Moodle to apply active learning methods from 2012.

Activities/Achievements: Founder of a refereed journal concerning urban planning, architecture and civil engineering. Awarded the best researcher in building and architecture in his previous university. Editorial board member, and reviewer of six peer reviewed journals including an ASCE journal and many prestigious conferences in Australia, USA, Greece, etc. Author of eight books, prior to his PhD commencement. Project management assistance and technical manager of several projects such as telecommunication tower, segmental prestressed box girder bridge, cement factories and residential buildings in leading companies for ten years. and GIS) and automation in order to solve problems in construction, transportation and urban management.
