Dr. Jothi Varghese, completed her Bachelors in dental surgery and Masters in speciality of Periodontology from Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal University, Manipal, Karnataka, India.
On completion of post-graduation, she continued her professional trail in her alma mater and is currently an Associate Professor. Her zeal to academic development, inspired her to obtain a certification in Laser Dentistry and Bioethics from the Manipal University. She is a guide to post graduates. During her academic journey, she has authored a chapter in the textbook,“Periodontal disease – Symptoms, Treatment and Prevention, published by Nova Publishers, Hauppauge, New york. She has 30 publications to her credit in both at national and international indexed journals. Her research interests are related to the field of periodontal microbiology, pharmacotherapeutics and regenerative periodontics. She has judged scientific sessions in national conferences. Her work has been presented at various international scientific congress and have won awards. She continues to build her career by extending her work strategies by collaborative interaction at both national and international levels.
She holds professional membership with Federation of Academy of General Education (FAGE), Indian Society of Periodontology (ISP),Indian Academy of Laser Dentistry (IALD) and Indian Society of Prosthodontics, Restorative and Periodontics (ISPRP) etc. A reviewer to various international journals. A member of editorial board of Public health journal, a constituent of American Institute of Science.
