I am Ephrem Guchi Gashaw. I was born in October 1981, in Gelemso, Ethiopia. I attended primary and junior secondary education at Gelemso number 1 primary and junior secondary school and senior secondary education at Gelemso senior secondary school. I joined the then Alemaya University now Haramaya University in 1998 and graduated with the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Plant Science in 2001 with great distniction. Then, I joined Alage Agricultural, Technical, Vocational, and Educational Training College (AATVET) in Alage, Ethiopia as instructor where I worked until 2004. Then, I joined Ethiopian Institutes of Agricultural Research, at Werer Agricultural Research Institute as Researcher where I worked until 2005.
In September 2006, I joined the School of Graduate Studies of Addis Ababa University Ethiopia, Science Faculty, Department of Applied Biology to pursue a study leading to the Degree of Master of Science in Applied Microbiology and graduated in July 2008. After graduation, I joined Samara University to work as a lecturer and researcher in Applied Microbiology until I joined the School of Graduate studies of Haramaya University to pursue a study leading to the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Plant Pathology. Then I graduated in Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Plant Pathology (PhD) in 2015.My research area in general is on food and nutritional secutity and in particular on agricultural biotechnology, mycotoxins, applied microbiology (water, agriculture, industerial, environmental) etc....
