Dr.Dharmesh Vasavada, has passed his BDS in 2003 and MDS in 2012 in Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology & Microbiology, thus having a vast experience in the field of Dentistry and Oral Pathology. He has had the honour of receiving Gold Medal from the University, for his excellent performance in his postgraduate exams. At present he is working as a Senior Lecturer in M P Patel Dental College & Hospital & Oral Research Institute, Vadodara, Gujarat since more than three years. Apart from being a true academician he also has his own private practise. Hs is very passionate about teaching and likes to spend time discussing new topics and advances in Oral Pathology with both undergraduates and postgraduate students. He is always open to new ideas and innovations from student and plays an important role in motivating the students to take up new and rare research projects. He has many publications to his credit. His keen areas of interest include Genomics & Proteomics, molecular advances in Oral Pathology and advanced diagnostic techniques in Oncology. Genomics and Proteomics have vast applications in the field of Oral Pathology and hold the future of advanced research. Due to advances in the analysis of DNA, RNA and proteins in tissues the practice of Oral Pathology is currently undergoing significant change; molecular analysis has led to improvements in the accuracy of disease diagnosis and classification. These methods will increasingly enter into the day-to-day diagnosis and management of patients. Apart from these his other areas of interest include, Forensic Odontology and its advances, Odontogenic Cysts & Tumors and Salivary Gland Disorders.
