Dr.Mavoothu,D., is currently an Associate Professor, School of Management Studies, CUSAT. He has 23 years of teaching experience at CUSAT. His areas of teaching are: HRM and Business Ethics.
He has taken his MBA from Madurai Kamaraj University and PhD from CUSAT.
He has published many papers in National and International Journals. He has contributed more than a dozen of articles in edited volumes of books.
Dr.Mavoothu associate with the following editorial boards:

Currently, he is a Member of Academic Council of CUSAT, Member, Board of Studies in Management, CUSAT and Kannur University.
He was Member, Regional Advisory Committee, Central Board for Workers Education, Union Ministry of Labour.
Also, he is member of Advisory Committee and Academic Council of International Institute of Alternative Economics, Kochi
He held the posts of Director of Youth Welfare (2007-2009) and Director of Physical Education (2008-2009) as full additional charges in CUSAT.
For the last several years, he is the Chairman, Grievance Redressal Committee, Students’ Union Election in CUSAT.
Currently one student has submitted his PhD thesis and another 5 PhD Scholars are pursuing their research under him in the areas like Social Media, Financial Inclusion, Work-Life Balance, Career re-entry of women, Career experience of physically challenged, Political empowerment of Kudumbashree Members, etc.
Some of his current academic interests include climate change management, robotic workplace management, affirmative actions, etc.
