Abstract
As everyone knows, natural cyclodextrin possesses many hydroxyl groups so that it is hard for selective modification of the cyclodextrin. In this research, we provide a new method to synthesize 1,2,3-1H-triazole-b-cyclodextrin derivatives so that we can settle the selective modification of the cyclodextrin. Meanwhile, we use microwave (MW) irradiation to perform the reaction instead of oil-bath heating, which is merciful to the environment. The 1,2,3-1H-triazole-b-cyclodextrin derivatives were synthesized by the MW irradiation reaction from mono-6-azido-b-CD with the yields of about 75%–88%. Their structures were characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and ESI-MS.
