Semi-analytic Technique to Solve Emden–Fowler Type Differential Equations

Abstract


The aim of this article is to solve second order Emden–Fowler equations as a type of singular ordinary differential equations.
We suggest a semi-analytic technique by using two-point osculator interpolation method to overcome this difficulty at the singular point of non-homogeneous, non-linear Emden–Fowler equations; especially when the singularity appears on the right-hand side of this type of equations. Also, various examples are introduced to illustrate the suggested method. The results of the examples are compared with exact solutions when available, also, compared with other methods to assign the effectiveness and accuracy of the suggested method.
