Prof/Dr. Gayathri Devaraja has received her PhD from Mangalore University, during 2004. Currently, she is working as Associate Professor, Dept of Microbiology Davangere University. Dr Gayathri has successfully completed her Administrative responsibilities as Chairperson of the Dept, Board of Studies, Board of Examiners. Her research area of specialisation includes- Probiotics for healthcare, Bioremediation, Hybridoma Technology and Lichen Biology. Based on this research innovation and fellowship training, she has received several awards and honours, such as Best Research Paper award, Outstanding Project award, Oversea fellowship award to name a few. She is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like Maternal & Paediatric Nutrition etc., & expert Reviewers for journals like Bulletin of Environmental contamination and Toxicology, Soil and Sediment contamination, Microbial cell Factories, Current Microbiology, Infection and Immunology, Food safety etc. Dr Gayathri has authored more than 40 research articles published in highly reputed National and international Journals/books for her credit.
