Dr. Amit Gupta MDS, BDS, PGD Forensic odontology, Member of Indian dental association, Member of Indian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologists: M/1828 (MIAOMP) acquired a gold medal under his collar during the graduation programme. Dr. Amit Gupta is a postgraduate specialist in Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology & Microbiology and acquired a post graduation based diploma Certificate in Forensic odontology from Sherlock institute of forensic science. He has procured numerous achievements in the form of best research awards that includes scientific and forensic researches such as best original research work award in forensic odontology national conference 2012, on “Stature and Gender Determination and their Correlation using Odontometry and Skull Anthropometry”;best poster on “Triclosan- An Edge in the Field of Dentistry” in event conducted by Colgate; best original research work award for the presentation done in National TRIPLE ‘O’ Symposium, 2013, on “Morphoanalytical Study to “End” the Ambiguity Regarding the Epithelial Changes in Varying Grades of Oral Submucous Fibrosis”. Apart from this he has received appreciation for number of publications and as an active global researcher. He has played a salient role by being a member of Organizing Committee in numerous national and international Conferences. His proficiency in advanced special microscopy that includes polarizing microscopy, fluorescent microscopy, confocal, stereomicroscopy, darkfield microscopy and colposcopy makes his role to be dynamic in the field of research based diagnosis in oral and maxillofacial pathology. His expertise in the standardization of molecular and special diagnostic methods that includes immunohistochemical analysis and Morphometric Analysis of biopsy and cytological specimens since 2013 has made the advanced molecular technique based diagnosis to be more specific and sensitive. His participation in “Research Methodology and Evidence Based Practise” has made an exceptional contribution to global clinical & academic dentistry. Dr Gupta guides undergraduate as well as post graduating students in their research, dissertations & master thesis & has written papers for many national & international research journals. Has worked as an associate dentist at Guru Tegh Bahadur medical college and hospital under the affiliation of University College of Medical Sciences(UCMS Government of India). He is a subject matter expert in dentistry & has been under training at recognized healthcare organizations such as Dharamshila cancer hospital and Dermatology, LLRM hospital, Meerut. Currently he works at ITS- dental college hospital and research center as an Assistant Professor. He is a solicited author and has been honoured as a director in KADE academy for dental excellence. He has been into over two dozens of Scientific Presentations & activities along with significant research based publications.
