Abstract

Objective To investigate the current situation of clinical research, requirements of in-service medical staff, and to objectively analyze the conditions to meet the demand of clinical research, to provide valuable references for taking effective measures by
medical managers, to improve the research ability of medical staff, as well as to promote the development of hospital clinical research.

Methods In this study, the self-designed questionnaire was used to carry out anonymous investigation for the medical staff in service.

Results About 43.8% of the medical staff involved in this study have participated in clinical research. More than 80% of the medical staff considered busy clinical work and lack of methodological and statistical knowledge is the main obstacles to conducting clinical research.

Conclusion The enthusiasm of the medical staff to conduct clinical research was poor. The lack of relevant knowledge of clinical research among medical staff should be carried out through a variety of training methods, such as expert lectures, special study
courses, etc. At the same time, full-time research teams should be trained to assist medical staff to carry out better clinical research. We should increase the financial support, encourage the enthusiasm of the medical staff to conduct clinical research, and improve the efficiency and quality of clinical research through information management.
