ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

A Dairy Technology graduate from Gujarat Agricultural University, Dr. Sreeja has done her M.Sc. and Ph. D in Dairy Microbiology. She is currently serving as Assistant Professor in the Dairy Microbiology Department, SMC College of Dairy Science, Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat, India

ACTIVITIES:

teaching, research and extension. Involved as facilitator in Training Programmes, Member of Executive committee of Alumni Association, Member of Board of Studies of the Basic Subjects of the Faculty of Dairy Science,  co-editor of newslink and student councellor.

RESEARCH INTEREST:

Fermented foods, lactic acid bacteria and its delivery forms, probiotics and health benefits Involved as Co-principal Investigator in research projects sponsored by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Department of Biotechnology (DBT) Govt. of India and  Gujarat State Govt.

MEMBERSHIP OF PROFESSIONAL BODIES: 

Life member- Association of Food Scientists and Technologists India (AFSTI), Dairy Technology Society of India, and Swedish South Asian Network on Fermented Foods (SASNET).

Ordinary member- Indian Dairy Association (IDA).

Dr. Sreeja has undergone advanced training in fermentation technology in Sweden under Human Resource Development Program of National Agricultural Innovation Project, ICAR. She has to her credit one IDA best research paper award, Prof. J P Trivedi Award conferred by the Gujarat Association for Agricultural Sciences and two research poster awards in international and national conference.  She has 10 research papers, two review papers, one book, three book chapters and 10 technical papers to her credit.
