Dr. Ramita Sood, did her MDS in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Government Dental College & Hospital, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India in 1999 and Post Graduate Diploma in Health and Hospital Management (PGDHHM), IGNOU, India in 2006.
Presently she is Professor and Head, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, AMC Dental College & Hospital, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Previously associated with Bapuji Dental College and Hospital, Davangere, Karnataka and Government Dental College & Hospital, Ahmedabad, India.
She is member of Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India, Indian Dental Association, Indian Society of Implantology and +Dental Practitioners Society.
She holds various position as a member– Organising committee of national workshop on management of facial deformities at Ahmedabad in 2005, Organising secretary of 12th National midterm conference of association of oral and maxillofacial surgeons of India (AOMSI) Gandhinagar in 2008, member, Executive committee of dental practitioners society (DPS), Ahmedabad in 2006-07.
She having sound editorial experience as a peer reviewer for manuscripts submitted to Indian Journal of Radiology and as member of editorial committee of JGDCH –Journal of Government Dental College and Hospital, Ahmedabad.
She is providing academic and Clinical Guidance to post graduate Students, supervising thesis and research work.
She is expertise in trauma, pathologies, temporo mandibular joint disorders and maxillofacial, reconstruction work, independently under general anaesthesia, implants and surgical exodontia.
