Dr. Manzoor Ahmed Thokar, presently giving his service as Professor, Microbiology, Omar Al Mukhtar University, Albeda Libya, He earned his MBBS from GMC Srinagar (NAAC Accredited University of Kashmir) in 1981 & MD (Medical Microbiology from SKIMS Deemed University in the year 1987. He has also served in the past as Professor, Microbiology, faculty of Medicine, Al Arab University, Benghazi, Libya and as Additional Professor Microbiology SKIMS, Kashmir. He has also worked as Senior Consultant Microbiology & Chairman, Infection Control Security forces hospital, Dammam, KSA & Infection Control In charge SKIMS. He has several national and international research and review articles to his credit.Dr.Manzoor Ahmed Thokar is Member of International society of infectious diseases –ISID, International Federation of Infection control (IFIC), Life member Indian Association of Medical Microbiology (IAMM), Founder & Executive member Gastrointestinal infection society- India (GISI),Life Member Hospital Infection control society India (HISI), Founder, Indian Association of Medical Microbiology-IAMM-(Jammu & Kashmir Chapter). and is a reviewer of repute for journals such as for British journal of Microbiology research & African journal of Microbiology research to name a few.His research areas of interest are antibiotic drug resistance, infectious diseases,infection control,Microbiological surveillance, Molecular epidemiology,Zoonotic diseases & re-emerging infections.
