Dr. Donald S. Christian is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Community Medicine at GCS Medical College, Hospital & Research Center, Ahmedabad, (Gujarat state) India. He has passed his MBBS from Government Medical College Bhavnagar (2004) and has done MD in Community Medicine from Pramukhswami Medical College, Karamsad under Sardar Patel University (2010). He has worked as an Assistant Professor to Community Medicine at SBKS Medical Institute, Vadodara district before, and has got 7 years of reach teaching experience in the field of Community Medicine. He also has pursued a Graduate Certificate of Health Services Management from Griffith University, Queensland, Australia during 2006. He has also been awarded a course of “Community Change in Public Health” by the Johns Hopkins University in 2012. (Online coursework).He already has several research publications to his name in various national/international journals in the field of Public Health and Community Medicine. He has been serving as an Editorial Board member to international journals namely Science Journal of Public Health, Clinical Medicine Research and Science Journal of Clinical Medicine. Many times, his research work and concepts are acknowledged in the newspapers and social blogs. He has been serving as a Coder Physician for the Million Death Study organized by Center for Global Health Research (CGHR), Bangalore, (for Registrar General of India), since October 2012 (Online). He also has been serving as a Board of Studies Member, a Co-Guide and an Adjunct Faculty to the School of Public Health for Texila American University (through Hong Kong)for distant education. He has been serving as the member of the Technical Working Group (TWG) for the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine- Gujarat Chapter for curriculum development activities. He has served as a facilitator for the IMNCI (Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood Illness) training (by the supports of UNICEF and WHO) at Vadodara, Kheda and Anand districts of Gujarat state. He also has served as Monitor for the National Polio Surveillance Project under World Health Organization (WHO) during January and February 2008 for Anand District,Gujarat state. He has been guiding medical students for research projects. He has attended various international workshops and conferences.
