Dr.Anuradha Mokkapati has done her MBBS and MD (Microbiology) from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India (2002-2005). She also holds an MBA degree in healthcare services from Sikkim Manipal University. She had served at Mediciti Institute of Medical Sciences, Ghanpur, Hyderabad for six years in the grades of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in Microbiology. She has joined at Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in January 2012, and since been working here in the grades of Associate Professor, and now being promoted to Professor grade (since April 2015). She also works as a consultant Microbiologist at SRL Diagnostics, Hyderabad, part time.
She has attended various conferences, workshops, CMEs, and presented papers and posters at various venues. She has 10 research pulblications (original articles & case reports) in various national and international indexed journals as the first author to her credit. She also has worked as a research guide for three short-term student research projects funded by ICMR.
She has served as internal and external examiner at University examinations for MBBS, BDS, MSc Microbiology, Medical Lab Technician course students in Microbiology. She has undergone basic teacher training course for medical teachers at Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad, and now is pursuing her Fellowship in Medical Education (FIME) under the auspices of Medical Council of India (MCI) from nodal center at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Belagavi which would be completed in October 2016. She also had worked on a medical education project titled “Objective Structured Practical Examination (OSPE) as a formative assessment tool for IInd MBBS Microbiology students” as a part of FIME fellowship and presented it as a poster at the nodal center during her training. She had presented the same study as a paper presentation at Dubai Medical Education Symposium at Dubai on 28-05-2016. She is now in the process of application for FAIMER fellowship, and now working to accomplish it’s requirements.
