Dr Rashmi GS Phulari graduated from College of Dental Sciences, Davangere, KARNATAKA in 2001 and went on to complete post graduation in Oral pathology and microbiology from P M N M Dental College, Bagalkot, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences KARNATAKA in 2006.
She is a fine academician and dedicated teacher with articles published in national and international indexed journals. She is the well known author of much appreciated book Textbook of Dental Anatomy Physiology and Occlusion published by Jaypee brothers Medical publishers and a reference book titled Age estimation in forensic odontology. She has also contributed chapters on growth and development, etiology of malocclusion and genetics in orthodontics in the well accepted textbook Orthodontics: Principle and practice authored by Dr. Basavraj Subhachandra Phulari and published by M/s Jaypee Brothers Medical Publishers.
Her areas of interest include comparative dental anatomy, Forensic odontology and animal bite mark patterns. Images of her findings on the differences between human and animal bite marks also appear in the Forensic Odontology-section of 5th and 6th editions of Shafer’s Textbook of Oral Pathology. She is also an active member in the reviewer panel of various Pubmed indexed national and international journals.
She is a member of Indian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathlogy and Dental Council of India.
